National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) signs MoU with TOPCEM Cement to supply cement to MSMEs of Northeast India

 

Guwahati, 01 AUGUST, 2022: Topcem Cement (Brand of Meghalaya Cements Ltd), Northeast India’s leading cement brand has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) to facilitate Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in getting quality cement at competitive prices.

 

The MOU was signed by Sri. Vijay Prakash, Zonal General Manager (North-East), NSIC Limited, and Dr. Anil Kapur, President, Sales & Marketing, Meghalaya Cements Ltd. at Topcem Cement’s office at Guwahati. The MOU was signed under the NSIC’s raw material distribution scheme for the supply of cement in the Northeast India Market. Under this raw material distribution scheme arrangements, NSIC & Topcem Cement will extend support to MSME projects in the areas they are located and important industrial sectors across Northeast India.

 

Dr. Anil Kapur, President-Sales & Marketing, Meghalaya Cements Ltd. said: “We believe this association with NSIC will help expedite the MSME sector growth in Northeast India both in terms of economic development and job creation.”

 

NSIC is a Govt. of India Enterprise under Ministry of MSME with offices across India and NER Zonal Office located at Guwahati. Topcem Cement has a wide network that will serve as the backbone to deliver last – mile service to MSMEs along with NSIC in Northeast India.
